During our most recent two winters we have had hurricane force winds hit our homes. When the roof is covered in icy snow, this isn’t necessarily a problem. But when the winds hit after a melt that leaves the roofs bare, shingles start to fly. Why Wind Damages Roofs in Anchorage
Shingles are designed to seal themselves with factory adhesive strips. That works well in warm climates.
But in Anchorage:

Seal tabs don’t always activate fully.

Reseal the shingle securely to the course below
